Our community work within Wolverhampton

We greatly enjoy being such an active part of our local community. Supporting the people of Wolverhampton is incredibly important to us, not only in the form of discounts for dental treatments, but in our charitable work also.

Wolverhampton football club partnership

Parkside Dental Care are an official business partner of Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club. The Molineux stadium is just minutes away from our dental practice, and Wolves impressed us with the amount of work that they do for the local homeless charity – another cause that we are working to partner with them on.

As our address is number 7 Park Road, we have also directly sponsored Wolves’ number 7 player, Pedro Neto, and we are delighted that he is enjoying his time at the club.

We are pleased to offer staff at Molineux Stadium a 10% discount off all dental treatments, as well as all Wolverhampton Wanderers season ticket holders.

Alfie’s Smile

Alfie's Smile is a local charity, set up by Kerry Hinks after her son Alfie was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma, which is a high grade cancerous brain tumour, aged just 9 years old. Alfie spent 2 years of his life in hospital, endured many surgeries, 6 weeks of radiotherapy and months of chemotherapy. Alfie rang the end of treatment bell in 2021, and everyone is so glad that Alfie is still here with us, but unfortunately the aggressive treatments that he received have left him with some life changing disabilities.

Although Alfie’s cancer treatment has ended, his family still live with the difficulties and anxiety following the diagnosis and time in hospital. Everyone is very thankful that Alfie won his fight, but unfortunately some children do not win their battle, which is heartbreaking and devastating for the families. Alfie and his family have set up their charity, “Alfie’s Smile”, to fundraise to support families in the community who are affected by a child’s cancer diagnosis.

Here at Parkside Dental Care we are aiming to raise £1,000 to support Alfie’s Smile. Alfie is a huge Wolves FC fan, and as a business partner for Wolves we wanted to support Alfie’s hard work to raise money and help others. On Friday 30 September, we are holding a Zumbathon and sports day at West Park, which is opposite our practice. This event is for colleagues only, but we are kindly asking for donations to our Go Fund Me page, where we are raising money towards the Alfie’s Smile charity. After the Zumbathon, we will be heading to Molineux stadium to present Alfie with the money raised and provide a tour of the stadium.

Additionally, we have plans to keep a charity box in reception for any patients who are kind enough to donate their spare change to Alfie’s Smile, and we are always all ears for future fundraising ideas!

Supporting Compton Hospice

We supported Compton during Autumn 2023 donating £500.00 and spent a day gardening to make the hospice even lovelier for residents and families.

Supporting our incredible blue light workers

We recognise that blue light workers are heroes, and we are all absolutely grateful to them for their hard work in the face of tough working conditions. We are based close to West Park Hospital, and we want to support all blue light workers by offering 10% off all dental treatments at Parkside Dental Care.

Please show us your blue light card at your appointment and we will ensure that you receive your discount, as a way of saying thank you.

We are proud to be part of ‘The Phillips Dental Care Recycling Programme’

Patients can recycle electric toothbrush heads, interdental brushes, manual toothbrushes and dental floss containers at the practice. We also have a PARLA recycling scheme for toothpaste tubes.

    ‘The Good Shepherd’ in Wolverhampton

We aim to end homelessness in Wolverhampton. As a team we all volunteered there to support the charity with their food banks and prepare food for the homeless.
